Project: Portkey's Emerging Cohesion.

Features:

• Social browsing.
• Negotiation of social norms.

Analyses: Using Web server log enhanced with login, session, and internship information, we explored elements illuminating the phenomena of social browsing and negotiation of social norms.

Implementation: Raw data was post-processed using Perl and stored in MySQL databases. Many analyses were conducted using MySQL queries and the results post-processed with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator to create the various visualizations.

Principals: Done in collaboration with Catalina Danis (IBM Research) and Unmil Karadkar (Texas A&M).

Publication: Danis, Lee, and Karadkar Interact 2003 and Danis and Lee (draft).
