Project: Usage Analyses of Social Interaction Environments.

Features: A comparative analysis of usage patterns for two social interaction sites (CHIplace and Portkey) to identify common social behavioral patterns using common socio-technical elements.

Analyses: Using Web server log enhanced with login and session information, we characterized page access patterns.

Implementation: Processed Web server log using Perl, integrated multiple sources of information with Web server log data, and stored the resulting processed data in MySQL. Many analyses were conducted using a combination MySQL queries, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Illustrator.

Principals: Done in collaboration with Andreas Girgensohn (FXPal).
